Likely design of the expected Apple Watch 2
Early last year, Apple had released first Apple watch that runs on the Apple iOS and features most of the goodies Apple has to offer. Fortunately for Apple, Apple sold the first watch like gasoline, even when it was obvious that the watch failed to meet some expectations of some buyers. As an improvement of the first Apple watch, the company is set on the Apple Watch 2 release later this year.
Based on leaks from a number of online media, the new generation of Apple Watch 2 may just come with a new type swappable band in the form of a magnetic closed loop Milanese band. This new design was spotted at the US Patent and Trademark Office website.
The magnetic wristwatch which are present at the patent office site consists of two configurations, thereby giving two distinct functions.
According to the abstract submission, “In one configuration, the wristband is magnetically coupled around the wrist of the user. In another configuration, the magnetic wristband is magnetically coupled around an electronic device to which it is attached. In this second configuration described the magnetic wristband acts as a protective cover for the electronic device on which it is attached. In this way a user can reduce the likelihood of damage being inflicted upon the electronic device while it is not being worn.”
The wristband comprises of a number of magnets arranged in magnetic polarity patterns that are complementary to each other, which will allow the wrist band to be magnetically couples around the wrist of users.
Reports further revealed that Apple Watch 2 may be launched in April this year. According to a report from Apple Insider, citing a research memo obtained from Cowen and Company, the second-generation Apple Watch will likely have a thinner size and better performance.
We patiently waiting for Apple to officially release the Watch 2, so we can bring you a review and purchase link.
